Iqra Promotions presented an
evening of devotional songs in honour of the world renowned Naat
(devotional song) Khawan, Qari Syed Muhammad Fasiuddin
Sohrawardy, at Ontario Science Centre in Toronto.
Naats are spiritual devotional
songs praising and honouring the Blessed Prophet
Muhammad.
Prof. Syed Badiuddin Soharwady,
ex Prof from King Saud University in Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia is founder of the
Islamic Supreme Council of Canada. He delivered a speech and
inaugurated the Soharwadia Foundation of North America, of which
he is the Founder.
There was recitation from the
Holy Quran (Qirat) as well as recitation of
Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic and English
poetry (‘kalams’).
