Meenakshi

Meenakshi, like many other working women, is trying to maintain that elusive balance between work and family life. Meenakshi is into Marketing and Sales, she is a freelance Diversity Ambassador for the Asian Indian Community in the metro Detroit Area.

She was born in Chandigarh in India. Being the youngest in the family, she was pampered and protected by the older siblings. She had a flair for writing and was the editor of her college magazine at the University of Delhi.

After her marriage she moved to Chennai and performed various talk shows and children programs on Doordarshan in Chennai. She was a TV host and conducted interviews. While in Chennai, she was the Marketing Director at SangSun (India).

She came to Montreal in 1992 with her husband and now lives in one of the fastest expanding suburbs, Canton, in metro Detroit area. Meenakshi juggles her work life and family life bringing up their 3 children, Roshni, Akhil and Rohan. Her husband, Arun, works for the auto industry and has a very active profile with little quality time that he would have liked to have otherwise spent with the family.

Meenakshi holds a degree from the University of Delhi in English Honors. Her hobbies are swimming, amateur gliding, traveling and volunteering in her spare time at the Temple and school. In the Asian Indian circle in Canton she is known for her Indian, Chinese and Italian cooking.
